Working with an independent advisor

One advisor, and no products to sell

Most people end up with an advisor by default. You opened an account at your branch, someone was assigned to you, and a few years later that person has moved on and you are explaining your situation from the beginning to somebody new.

You also do not know whether anyone has the full view of your situation, or whether the advice is shaped by what the firm is selling that quarter.

At Mill Creek, you work with Tim. He builds the plan, he manages the portfolio, and he is the one you call. The advice is independent, which means there are no in-house products to sell and no sales targets to meet.

How Tim can help

All planning and portfolio management is delivered through a CFP®-level planning process and CIM®-level investment oversight.

  • Financial Planning

Retirement, tax, estate, cash flow, and risk, covered together in one plan rather than one at a time. For families, professionals, and business owners who want their whole financial situation in one place.

  • Wealth Building

Setting the amount and the date for a goal, then building the savings and investment plan around it, whether that is retiring at a particular age, paying for your kids' education, or stepping back from a business you own.

  • Portfolio Reviews and Second Opinions

Already have an advisor and not sure the plan still fits? A straightforward review of what you hold, what it costs you, and whether it still matches what you are trying to do.

  • Ongoing Advice

The work that comes after the plan is in place: regular reviews, adjustments when your situation changes, and the same advisor each time, who already knows the history behind it.

Client testimonials

What clients say

Sample quotes shown. Client quotes to follow.

  • We had accounts in three places and no idea how they fit together. Tim put it all into one plan and walked us through every piece of it.

  • What I value is that it's the same person every time I call. Tim knows our history, so we never start from scratch.

    David R.Leamington
  • I came in for a second opinion on my portfolio. He was straightforward about what it was costing me and whether it still matched what I needed, and there was no pressure either way.
